Happy Fall, St. Louis! Now is the time to enjoy the cooler temperatures, fall colors, wineries, and all of the fall festivals coming soon, including all of the different options for Oktoberfest. It is also a great time to start holiday shopping and getting items checked off of your to-do list, and the SLAA Auction is the perfect chance to find some new items!

The 2019 SLAA Silent Auction is being held at Third Degree Glass Factory on November 20th. Not only will we offer plenty of items for bidding, we will have a glass blowing demonstration from Third Degree, games from American Carnival Mart, and a great lunch from Russo’s Catering. Invite your friends for this event, and be ready to outbid them on your favorite items.

A big thank you to Tami Goldman and The Missouri History Museum for hosting our marketing round table discussion in September. Members were able to share best practices with each other, and learn more about Generational Marketing, Seasonal Marketing, Digital Marketing, Tourism Marketing, and working with the media. Sugar Fire provided an amazing lunch to round out the afternoon.

A special thank you to our moderators for leading the discussions: Mike LaMartina, BPV; Andy Waterman, ILLINOISouth; Mindy Mazur, Lents & Associates; Kelly Tecklenburg & Katie Enrique, Six Flags St. Louis; Brooke Emshoff, Tin Roof; and Jen Hollenkamp, Mark Hermes, & Tony Paraino, Explore St. Louis.

We are looking for hosts for next year’s meetings, and topics you are interested in for luncheon agendas. Please reach out to myself or any member of the board if you are interested in learning more about our options or have an idea to share.

Thank you for your time and devotion to this association. We couldn’t do it without our members! If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
