CAHOKIA MOUNDS INTERPRETIVE CENTER CLOSING FOR RENOVATIONS
For those who are planning a trip to Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site soon, please take note that the Interpretive Center closes on March 1, 2022, for renovations. The facility us undergoing $5 million worth of upgrades to the roof, HVAC unit, security systems, and the sound and light systems. Thanks to the renovations, the Interpretive Center will be able to reopen their theater, allowing folks to enjoy their orientation show, City of the Sun. Before this, the theater has been closed for two years due to issues with ceiling tiles. The renovations are expected to last for at least a year.
