Greetings, everyone!
It’s hard to believe spring is just around the corner! We are eager to share what’s to come here at SLAA and at our beloved St. Louis attractions.
First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Joshua Blasingame and I am the guest experience trainer at the Gateway Arch. As my title suggests, I train new frontline staff members in their roles, focusing on how they can provide great customer service that makes for an incredible Arch experience. I’ve served on the SLAA Board of Directors for a few years now and am honored to be president this year.
Speaking of this year, I’m looking forward to hosting in-person meetings and getting back to some degree of normalcy. I know the pandemic has had profound effects on our industry and we are still feeling them. However, I truly believe that we have adjusted as best we can and are ready to step back out again and enjoy everything our region has to offer. Your SLAA board members are working hard to create some great upcoming luncheons. I do regret that we were unable to schedule a meeting this past month – the topic was centered around adjusting to the current supply chain issues; however, we were unable to confirm the speaker in time. The irony was not lost on us…we had a good laugh about it!
I am excited to see old and new members face-to-face in the upcoming months. Let’s have a great year!
