December 2017/January 2018 – Silent Auction Recap

One more silent auction is behind us as 2017 draws to a close. As always, we had a great response to our call for donations covering everything from pretzels to memberships, tickets to VIP experiences. Tyler and I and the rest of the Fundraising Committee cannot thank you enough for your continued support of the annual Silent Auction and the Carole Moody Scholarship Program. Without the support of our members and other attractions and allieds in the St. Louis region’s community we would not be able to lend our support to the future members of the hospitality industry. I would also like to thank our host, Das Bevo, for the wonderful food and beverages. We strive each year to hold the auction in a new and interesting place to showcase our donations and this year was no exception. The staff were welcoming and helpful and I don’t know about you, but my tummy was full! This year we also had Mastermind Vodka in to provide samples of their delicious libation, as well as a gift basket of goodies. I would like to also add a last minute shout out to The Aries Company. They are always willing to lend a hand with linens for luncheons when we need them, and for the auction they brought a sound system in response to my last minute, 4:30 the-night-before-the-event panicked call. Cheryl and her crew really do make things possible.

In this newsletter is also included a list of everyone who donated to the auction. Thank you is simply not enough, but it is offered sincerely.

Keep an eye out for the Fundraising Committee. It’s a good one and they will continue to offer exciting packages for the Trip Raffle at each luncheon, as well as the 50/50 Raffle. If you ever have anything you would like to donate, we are always read to come get it!
