Nestled in Forest Park is a staple that has been part of the St. Louis community for over six decades. The Steinberg Skating Rink is touted as the largest outdoor skating rink in the Midwest, and it welcomes thousands of visitors each year. The facility also features firepits, a café, and bumper cars. The rink is currently open all week long, with extended hours on the weekends. Steinberg Pavilion and Rink is also a focus of Forest Park’s Master Plan, which has plans to transform the complex into an all-season destination so folks can make new memories year-round. With the potential renovations, winter visitors could see the addition of ice car bumping/curling, pond hockey, and speed skating. When the summer months roll around, the facility could offer everything from roller skating to concerts and festivals. A rooftop terrace and café are also in the current renderings for the renovations to Steinberg. To check out the renderings for this project, visit https://www.forestparkforever.org/steinberg.
