If you see flying children anywhere in St. Louis, they are probably from Circus Harmony and were booked by everydaycircus! Based on the third floor of the iconic City Museum, Circus Harmony is St. Louis’ only complete circus school – they teach everything from clowning and juggling to contortion and flying trapeze for all ages – and is St. Louis’ only social circus organization – meaning they use circus arts to motivate social change.

Circus Harmony and everydaycircus are sister companies. Circus Harmoney is a non-profit organization that teaches over 600 children a year in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Everydaycircus is a for-profit entertainment company that has been providing family friendly entertainment and special event activities since 1989. They share an office inside the iconic City Museum where everydaycircus runs the Baby Elephant Cafe and manages the shows in the circus ring where you can regularly catch Circus Harmony’s flying children, the St. Louis Arches.

In addition to the circus classes offered by Circus Harmonay at City Museum, TrapezeSTL, Circus Harmony’s Flying Trapeze Center is located in Chesterfield behind the Chesterfield Athletic Club and the Doubletree Hotel. From May-October, anyone six and older can fly through the air with the greatest of ease and safety! Circus Harmony and TrapezeSTL are both great places to do parties or team-building events. You can call everydaycircus to book the amazing St. Louis Arches youth circus troupe from Circus Harmony as well as stiltwalkers, caricaturists, petting zoos and much more! So, watch out for flying children or come defy gravity yourself!

It’s Time to Start Planning the 2016 SLAA Silent Auction!

We are starting to come up with ideas for the auction this year, and we need YOUR HELP! If you are interested in being on the Auction Committee, please contact Brooke Emshoff at (314) 621-7625 or brooke_emshoff@hardrock.com. We would love to have as much help as possible to make this the best auction ever!

Last year we focused on collecting “Experiences,” and we would love to have those again this year! But…we’re also adding a new category – YOU! Are you good at landscaping? Do you sew? Are you an excellent baker? Do you have talents or skills others would find valuable? Donate your skills or time to the auction! For example, Brooke crochets and is planning on donating a blanket to the auction. And we know the rest of the Board has some talents and skills they are donating as well. Keep an eye on your email for more information about this, or contact Brooke to ask questions.
